(Best Syndication News) - While the aftershocks have been continuing since the big 9.0 magnitude Japanese Earthquake
on March 11, a new sizable 6.5 magnitude earthquake
shook near the east coast of Honshu, Japan on March 28, 2011 7:23 am local time (3:24 PM Pacific Time in US on March 27).
The earthquake has caused a small tsunami
alert issued by Japanese official, but the US Geological Survey said that Hawaii, Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and California coasts are not included in the tsunami warning.
The Japan Nuclear
crisis still is ongoing. Japanese government prime minister officials said that they are encouraging residents that live between 20 and 30km from the nuclear power plants to voluntarily evacuate. As of March 27, 2011 the officials said that high levels of radioactive substances were found in water at Unit 2 of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
The US government NOAA office is saying that people living in the US by oceans should also be prepared for a tsunami even. They recommend visiting ready.gov to learn more about preparing for an emergency situation such as a tsunami or an earthquake.
